Meet Gene, a Samaritan House guest battling cancer. Samaritan House is a not-for-profit recuperative care place for people who are homeless and in need of short term care following a hospital or emergency room stay. Samaritan House emphasizes the gospel values of love, dignity, respect and welcoming inclusion. While Samaritan House is established out of our faith as Christians, it is intended to be a place of healing and hospitality for all persons.

For 6 years now, Samaritan House has displayed our Crutch Tree in front of our facility. This year we have chosen to decorate it in red to honor the Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC as well as fire departments and first responders from all over. Charlotte Fire along with MEDIC has responded to our facility many times over the years and each time they show our guests in need true compassion and professionalism each and every time.
Samaritan House and our staff and guests would like to wish the Charlotte Fire Department, MEDIC and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department a safe, joyous and happy holidays.
