Samaritan House volunteers have come to be known as “The HEART of Samaritan House” and for good reason. Our volunteers are a very important part of our program and responsible for providing many of the key services that we maintain for our guests on a daily basis. From preparing and serving a home cooked meal to raking leaves in the yard to guest transport, Samaritan House volunteers truly are the backbone of our program.

Guest Transportation

Transporting our guests to and from their scheduled doctors appointments, prescription pick-ups, social services appointments, weekly store runs, etc.

Meal Preparation and Serving

Prepare a breakfast, lunch or dinner and serve our guests a home cooked meal or simply order from a local restaurant, either way there is always something special about sitting down with our guests and sharing some great fellowship together.

Dusting, sweeping, mopping or helping with laundry helps us keep Samaritan House clean and running smoothly.

Yard Work / Landscaping

Raking leaves, mowing the grass, picking up trash and debris around the property or helping to beautify the flower beds.

Administration / Front Office

Helping with answering the phones, filing documents and/or other front office duties. Volunteers can also help with preparing our newsletter, fund raising events, mailers and donations.
