Samaritan House Projects

Posted on April 12, 2015by -

Keeping Samaritan House running smoothly every day takes a lot of time. Included in this is also keeping it functional and safe at all times. We have a large property that requires a lot of maintenance and upkeep inside and out. We also have a couple of current projects in need of completion.

With each of our projects, whether it’s purchasing and donating the material or helping out with the labor portion, every little bit helps. Here are some of the current projects that volunteers can help with:

Normal lawn maintenance and upkeep:

Mowing the grass (front and back)

Edge and trim around the walkways and paths

Remove weeds from the flower beds

Plant new flowers

Trim shrubs and bushes around the perimeter of the property

Larger projects:

We have a shed in the back that a large tree fell on and needs to be removed

Some improvements need to be made to our driveway entrance

Window screens to be replaced / installed

Parking lot and driveway need to be seal coated

Privacy fencing around the rear of the property

Install power to the BB&T Gazebo

Install a ceiling fan and lighting in the BB&T Gazebo

Rain gutters need to be replaced
